This server will receive a new SSL certificate on Sat, 8 September 2012, 12:00 p.m. (noon). An SSL certificate is used to identify the server and establish an encrypted connection between you (the client) and us (the server). SSL certificates expire after some time, and ours expires on this day, so we have to issue a new one. Update: We will also use the opportunity to move jabber.at to a new machine. We expect a downtime of about 30 minutes. Most clients (unfortunately) don't care about SSL certificates. But some do, and warn the user if a new SSL certificate is detected. A new certificate might be entirely legitimate - as in this case - or its an attempt to eaves-drop on your connection. If your client happens to warn you about the new certificate, it might ask you to compare checksums from this homepage. The checksums are here:
